I don't think Burghum was the dogkiller (so far as we know); it was Kristi Noem, governor of the other Dakota. And I think it will be Vance, too. I thought he was fine at the time of Hillbilly Elegy's publication but man, did he sell his soul after that.. This article is a good summary of how far he shifted from utter contempt for Trump to embarrassing sycophancy. Shameless. Yet perfect for Trump.
