That's a good one. A corollary to the "I would have made that if you weren't messing around during my putt."Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostI prefer the 3 foot and closer "I would have made it, if I had taken my time" rule. We call that the ESPN cam.Originally posted by jay santos View PostMy favorite golf rule is what I call the "Tiger Woods lost ball rule" for when you hit a ball that you can't find. If Tiger Woods would have hit that ball to the same spot, would someone in the gallery have found it for him? If so, then drop it where you thought it should have landed, no penalty.*Banned*

yep, especially a ball you know was well hitOriginally posted by Art Vandelay View PostMy course has relatively thick rough. There is nothing as frustrating as knowing where your ball landed within 3yd radius and not being able to find it. The only thing worse is playing into the sun and not being able to find a ball you know is in the fairway or first cut.Te Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.

Just hit it with one hand, then people know you weren't really trying because it was good already. A guy I play with does this all the time, drives me crazy. Also it could be the middle of August and he's bumping his ball around like it's winter rules.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostI prefer the 3 foot and closer "I would have made it, if I had taken my time" rule. Anyone play the Kirkland ball? It is 4 piece and is supposed to perform like a pro v1. 15 bucks for a dozen. I guess they are selling out within minutes of hitting the shelves. I will be trying them out when I can get my hands on some, but I just wanted to see if you guys have played with them, and if you have, what you thought.

there is a burgeoning market for premium golf balls. I have found 2 different Kirklands. They feel like a NXT to me. I'm not a good enough player to likely tell the difference but they felt, and sounded harder than I prefer. I especially dislike the ugly lettering and logo. The 2 new balls I really like are Snell My Tour Ball, and Vice Pro. I now prefer Vice over Pro V1. I have 4 dozen custom logo VPs in the trunk of my car. I'm sure it is completely coincidental but I've played the best (most consistent) golf of my life since switching to the Vice in July or August.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostAnyone play the Kirkland ball? I haven't played them, but I have heard nothing but very good things about them. Lots of people compare them to the Pro V1. Even if they are not quite as good, they are about 40% the cost.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostAnyone play the Kirkland ball? I've heard plenty of good things about these balls as well. But don't you have to order them in bulk? The Vice balls are not all that cheap, and I'm not really interested in taking a flyer on them for $50.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Postthere is a burgeoning market for premium golf balls. If by bulk you mean the dozen, then yes. They are $25 for a 12 pack. They are becoming common enough, I'm sure you could find some gently used ones at a golf ball store; I assume Vegas has one.Originally posted by falafel View PostI haven't played them, but I have heard nothing but very good things about them. Don't they ship from Germany? What's the total cost to ship 1 doz.?Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostIf by bulk you mean the dozen, then yes. They are $25 for a 12 pack. Edit: I just looked - they are only $25/doz when you buy 5 doz. or more. They are $35 when you just buy one pack. $42 with shipping.
I'll just stick with my Bridgestone e6s.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
