I tied my all time low score Sunday. I carded an 81. Not a bad score considering how crappy I have been playing as of late. My previous round just two days prior I shot a 101.

My game has been pretty bad this last year. My index was at an all time low of 14.2 in Aug 2014 and went up to a high of 19.3 in Feb 2015. I am currently at a 17.1. I am hopeful that Sunday's 81 is not a fluke and I may have finally figured out a way to keep me from blowing up and causing high scores.

39 Rounds of Golf (not including 9 hole rounds)
Low Score: 81 (previous low was 86)
High Score: 106
Average Score: 95
Rounds in the 80's: 6
Rounds in the 100's: 7

Nice. My home course is losing its greens for the 3rd year in a row. It sucks. Someday I'll join a nicer club.

Excellent. I quite enjoy hearing the positive results from my fellow golfing cuffers.

I myself have been playing better of late. Monday I threw down a 42-36 for a 78. That was with a triple on number 1 and a double on number 9.

Down to a 12 handicap. I would like to get into the single digits again.

When you play the same course 4-5 times a week, your handicap is understated when you take the game on the road.

I also got some pleasure out of finding out one of my 14 year old grandsons is working at a golf course and taking up the game. The smile on his face when I gave him my two year old set of Taylor Made Speed Slots was special for me.

So - I have a friend who after their firstborn child heard the doctor say that they shouldn't have sex for 46 weeks. His wife laughs that he turned white as a sheet.

Of course, what the doctor really said was four to six.

It's been an up and down year for me. I decided to play in my company golf league this year partnering with my brother. My handicap is really high right now at 15. One good thing is had been winning all of my head to head match ups and my brother and I were in second place. Two weeks ago I killed it (for me) and finished with a 42. Unfortunately that altered my handicap a bit. Golf can be cruel and instead of building on my success I ended up with my worst score of the season. The loss dropped us to fourth place. Hopefully today sees me back on the comeback trail.

In other news I snapped the shaft on my R11 driver. Golf Galaxy talked me into a different shaft. I noticed when I got the club back it was at least an inch shorter than the stock shaft. I'm wondering if they hosed me and gave me a shaft that should belong on a 3 wood.
