I watched the back 9 of the final web.com event yesteday. It was amazing watching so many of these good players wilt under the pressure of trying to earn their tour card. There were multiple bogeys on the final 3 holes, which by all accounts had played relativley easy all week long. I did feel bad for the dude who only had to make a straight 4 footer on #18 to get his card, as he watched the putt lip out. At least he hit the hole, I would miss a putt like that by at least 18" if I had 1/100 of that pressure on me.
The Blair kid played well. I was surprised by how small of guy he is 5'8", 155. Which is both inspiring and depressing to see someone that size routintely hit his drives 300 yards. Hopefully, he shows well on the tour next year.

Zac Blair, Tony Finau and Summerhays will all be on the tour next year. Blair will actually have access to more events than Finau because he finished higher on the money list. Also that kid from Springville Scott Pickney who is best friends with Rory earned his card as well.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostI watched the back 9 of the final web.com event yesteday. I guess it is happening all over. We are doing 6 holes at a time and it is a major areiation. I hear they are trying to get the course good enough old gregg will quit calling it a shit hole.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostGreat weather and nothing to do today, why are they areiating the greens today! I think it will be two weeks until we will be back playing without sand coming up.

I would rather play on 18 shit greens for a week than 6 shit greens for three weeks. Also if you wait to late in the year and it takes forever for the greens to come out of it because they aren't growing as fast.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI guess it is happening all over. Anybody seen one of these on a course yet? I usually like to walk when I golf, but I think I'd like to try this sometime.

I could see the board catching on. A golf course is about the only place you could ride it like it was meant to be ridden, and it would save a couple of miles of walking. For me, I'd kill myself falling before the 5th hole.
I've long thought there was a market for individual golf carts out there.

I've played 60+ holes in the last 4 days. The weather and course conditions have been perfect. As fun as that sounds, I'm too old for that many swings. I found my wedges and especially my putter improve with each round, my driving had more of a bell curve performance.
In related news, getting older sucks!

I love to walk and carry my bag but this looks fun. The problem I see is you would have to have the skills and balance of Laird Hamilton to make sure you didn't kill yourself.Originally posted by chrisrenrut View PostAnybody seen one of these on a course yet? There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
