Wilson, Ishii, and Ted Fujikawa are asian, not 'nesian.

Edit: Ya got me with Vijay. I always think of him as Indian.

My youngest son shot a 71, par was 72, yesterday. I thought about putting it in the brag about your kid thread, but realized only the golfers would understand it is something to brag about.

I am happy for him. His two older brothers have been quite a bit better than he, but over the last little while the kid seems to be getting it together.

The 14th green at Hobble holds a special place in my heart.

An ace, I presume? I witnessed one (a friend) there a couple of years ago. I have loads of great memories at Hobble as well, probably more than at any other course.

Hobble is one of my favorite courses. The setting is special. If you hit the ball straight it is not a terribly difficult course, but terribly difficult courses aren't all that fun for me anymore.

It is a kick to play number 13. I can still drive the ball far enough to go for the green over the creek and have an Eagle putt. The smarter play of course is to lay up and hit a sand wedge in.

I missed an eagle from about a foot on that hole when playing with Art Vandelay. That was embarrassing.

Also Hobble is where Filsdepac ran off a string of 3 birdies in a row (none of which were gimmes) during the CUF tourney a few years back.

                      That was awesome.

He rolled at least a 50 footer didn't he?

That was the day we met Jay Santos and his 275 3 iron.

Yeah I think it was 12 where he rolled in an absolute bomb that broke about 8 feet.

Santos can definitely hit his 3 iron.

I still can't believe that while arranging that tourney I thought it would be a good idea to put Junkie, Santos, Fusnik and fils in the same foursome. From adjacent fairways it sounded like Animal House in the distance.

                            Lol.

Fils and JS were the worst offenders, holy cow.

I rarely play. Maybe once a year, if that. In fact the last time I played almost 2 years ago before the Oregon State game. I went with my FIL today and shot a 98 at the local country club. First time under 100. Had a 54 and a 44.

I may have to get out more often.

Congrats. I didn't golf for 2 years when I first had your calling. In retrospect, I should have been playing 2-3x/week, especially on the nights of training meetings.
