Excellent tip. My very nice looking, 25 year old, ex BYU womens golfer has mentioned that along with my tensing up through the swing. For the first 9 holes today I will have her caddying for me and reminding me of what I should be doing.

    • So I moved my fitting up to May 3rd, because we had a catering gig fall through.

      Talk about living the life!

Stayed the night before at my brothers house in Encinitas, woke up looking at the beach. Went out and had some breakfast...looking at the beach.

Headed up to Carlsbad, and this is what I pulled up to:

I walk inside and check in. Walking around the lobby, you see a crapload of stuff like this:

Then I had to do this:

Walking up to the fitting, you see this:

And the entire 1.5 hours was awesome.

I ended up buying a new 3W, 3 and 4 HY, 5-A Wedge (all 1" long, 1 degree upright). Callaway XHot Pro. Project X 5.5 Rifle Shafts along with a new XHOT carry bag. Should be here in 5-7 business days.

I ended up not buying a new driver, because I didn't hit it any further than my current driver. I knew I was dealing with some good dudes when they told me that I would be throwing away $300 if I did.

I probably hit 200 balls during the entire fitting. They 2 guys doing the fitting were awesome. Quizzed me over and over every time they put another club combination in my hand. How does it feel? How is it compared to the last 2 clubs you hit? Heavier or lighter? I got what they were doing after about 15 minutes and really enjoyed it.

I hit my currect 6I anywhere from 160-165, which I duplicated over and over at the fitting, and with the new 6I I was was hitting it 170-185. Going to take some time to get used to the new sticks, but I can't wait for the learning curve.

          • Tick I would love to do that sometime. If you start getting ten to twenty more yards out of your clubs I may have to plan a trip so SoCal.

                The fitting or the clubs?

Fitting was $150. But if you buy that day, they give you a $100 gift card to put down on your clubs.

The clubs...would have only been one house payment, but I upgraded all of the shafts, so it was 1.5 house payments.

Text me and I can give you a breakdown

                  • I threw down a smooth 112 on Saturday. Only because I picked up when I hit triple bogey on a hole. F THE SHANKS. I was putting very well though when I finally made it to the green.

Is this a typo? If it makes you feel any better even Watney hit one straight right on Saturday. My prayers are with you that this terrible plague may be lifted.

                      • Not a typo sadly. I appreciate your prayers on my behalf. It is like a virus that lies dormant in your body and springs up every year. My instructor told one of my friends the problem is entirely due to the area that lies between my ears.

I laughed out loud at the slo-mo replay of his face after he hit that shot. I gave up on a career in lip reading after a couple semesters, but if I'm not mistaken, he said something to the effect of "I f****** shanked that!?"
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

And then they showed him with the cap covering his face yelling into it. Good Drama actually.

Yea but remember I didn't record anything over a triple bogey. If I had it could have been 125 easy.
