Yep, I was 4 over after 6 holes, then finished the front nine double, triple, quad. Then I was in my head the back nine and couldnt get a bogey to save my life. Mostly doubles. Then I had a birdie lip out on the 18th. I could have easily shot close to a 90 today, which is where I was at 3ish years ago, but I broke 100, which is something I havnt done in a long while. It is bittersweet. 3 pars, 6 bogeys, 6 doubles, 2 triples, and a quad.

Played in a tough tournament late Saturday. Was eight over on the front, but came back strong on the back and finished nine over for the round, finishing only behind filsdepac, but regrettably tied with my wife.

A place now called Boomers (formerly Camelot) in Livermore, CA. It features two 18-hole courses (kind of like Torrey Pines, although what it lacks in length, grass and scenic ocean views it makes up for with awe-inspiring pagodas, dragon heads and a mock-up of St. Peter's basilica), a go-kart track, and lots of coin-op games where I was able to witness my modest estate being wasted away. We had fun, though.

Nice looking family PAC. I also like how you're showing off your cycling quads, very impressive. By the way did you a stimpmeter reading on those greens? Some of that carpet rolls faster then a downhill putt at Augusta.

Seriously, that was my problem on the front. I think they watered the carpet, or perhaps I wasn't reading the grain correctly as I understand the shag shifts in the direction of the setting sun. In any event, I consistently coming up short, which sadly has been true in so many aspects of my life.

A lot of gus have cured that with a longer putter. You can get a more sure grip and balance with a longer putter.

Do any of you know the name of the product that shows you where on the club face you are striking the ball? I vaguely remember seeing something like that once. I think it was a sticker or something you could put on the face and it would briefly record the impact of the ball so you could better understand how you were hitting it.

it is impact tape. Most pro shops should carry it.

(I hit it a bit thin and into the sand. Out and two putted for bogey.)
