Interesting Notes.

- The worst pick was a tie between Lucas Glover and Tim Clark. Both Scottie picks.
- 71 had the very logical picks of Tiger/Rory/Mahan/Keegan/Jason Day and still came in last place.
- RC was the only one to pick Bubba, and he protected it with Oosthuizen and Kucher as his final three. We could do this 10 years straight and no one would end up with a better final three pick than those. - Good Job.

It was fun, thanks. I guess I suck at this. In the year long pool I am in, I am in last place right now. Only 1 of my 4 picks has finished in the top 5 this year.

My buddy couldn't be there for the picking, so I picked for him. He is in first place and Bubba is one of his guys. Go figure.

Going out to play at Bountiful Ridge with two sons and a grandson. This should be fun. One of the son's I am playing with used to be quite good, about a 3 handicap. However, he has a daughter who is excellent at soccer, a son who is in comp. baseball and plays all year long and a daughter who is on dance teams. He now plays once or twice a year. I haven't played with him in about 4 years. I am looking forward to it.

Also Bountiful Ridge is a par 71. Good chance to shoot 79.

FYI everything breaks toward the valley. The first time I played that course I had a putt on number #1 and hit it just opposite the direction it really broke. It was kinda funny how bad I missed.

You are right. We all struggled with putting. It was a great time though. Playing with my boys and now a grandson is heaven for me.

There aren't that many chances to have time to just chat with their busy schedules.

While I still can play half way decent, I have decided to take the boys and go play Pebble. It would be one of those things that would be a great long term memory.

88 at Spanish Oaks. disclaimer (not that anyone really cares): when I post a score, I take the number of holes I play and normalize it to 18/par 72 to get a number.

Driving hurt me a little. Pretty stupid, but it seems right now the biggest inconsistency I'm having with my drives is related to where I set up. If I'm too close to the ball I go left, if I'm too far away I go right. For some reason, I'm having a hard time getting it just right.

Irons were pretty good. I'm reshafting my 19 degree hybrid, but my 23 degree hybrid was money. 225ish and straight every time I hit it. 100 yards and in I struggled. Putting was OK for me.

45 at Sleepy Ridge front 9. Played with my son. It was fun. I'm getting obsessed with golf right now. Just got my three hybrid reshafted to a DG X-100 and I hit it off the tee all round. I love the change. It's heavy and a little unconventional for a hybrid, but it keeps me much straighter. My short game was the opposite of how it's been the last couple rounds. I hit the green within easy two putt distance three times, and three putted all of them. But to offset that, I put three lob wedges within two feet of the hole on other holes.

I had seven bogeys, a double, and a par. The par was the toughest hole on the course, IMHO. 210 yard par 3 #7.

Bandon Preserve is really fun, I'm not sure I'd be that anxious to pay $100 for it, but it plays a lot of fun iron shots from 90-160 yards and the sand and greens are as treacherous as they are on the big courses.

I put together a 97 yesterday morning on Bandon Dunes, I could not figure out my putter at all. I started with 5 doubles, 3 of which were 3 putts. I was hitting the ball as well as I maybe ever have.

After lunch on Bandon Trails I played probably one of the 2-3 best front 9s I've ever played. I shot a 47 on the front and not for a bad lie in a greenside bunker that was an impossible play for someone of my skill level, I would have played below bogey golf on the front. The back 9 I just lost it, I could tell I wasn't finishing swings and being lazy on putts, but I was too exahusted to correct it. Also a blow up hole of 9 again thanks to an insane bunker caused me to put up a 54. I was still happy with a 101, but it should have been better.
