I think I indicated that it impairs your judgment.

You also indicated alcohol does not make one an asshole. It may just magnify the assholeness. Which leads me to believe that a person is going to make bad decisions with or without alcohol. So why would we automatically call it rape if a woman is intoxicated? Per your logic, she was going to have sex with him either way.

Its one thing to sit down with a flight of fancy pants beers for lunch. It another thing to live with a father or grandfather or sibling who is an alcoholic drinking cheap wine or grain liquor to stay high.
            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Funk grew up in a good mormon family, he wouldn't know what you are talking about.

Um, there goes about 50% of the sex being hand in this country. The good news is that both parties are usually drunk, so they are only raping each other and those rapes just cancel each other out.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

                  • My paternal grandfather was an alcoholic. When he was sober, he was a nice guy; when he was drunk, he was mean as hell and was physically and emotionally abusive to my grandmother, my father and his siblings. Never did that while sober. Unfortunately, he was drunk way too often. He died at 46 from cirrhosis of his liver.

                    • My FB feed provided this link to a column in today's SL Trib about CB/Jefe banning a poster who praised the Pulitzer Prize-winning story. While for various reasons this new column will not net the Trib a second Pulitzer, it at least provides a fun outsider's view of CB. And thanks, SU and funk, for saving this board's butt by speaking kindly of the original article. Imagine the embarrassment CS might have sustained without your guidance.

The Trib has only had to edit it 4 times since first putting it up. It now bears little resemblance to Rolly's original screed [and really makes no sense at all].

That's funny. Rolly is a dunce.

The progression is easy to guess. The poster had his post recategorized, but he probably thought it was deleted since he's been permanently banned from that category. He runs to the Trib and they quickly write a story. Then the Trib comment section gets plastered with CBers commenting that the post wasn't deleted and is available to any donor. Then they go to El Jefe for comment, who confirms the post still exists and was never deleted and also confirms why the poster was permanently banned.

                              Hilariously stupid on both sides.

                              • Well, that's what winning a Pulitzer does for your paper. You end up reporting on a ninny-ninny dispute between anonymous contributors to a sports message board, delving deep in decision-making and subcategories.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
