How? If a woman is drunk, she cannot consent and you don't have sex with her. If you have sex it is a rape and it is not accidental.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postseems like a pretty clear scenario in which an accidental rape could occur broAs I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Was he also a giving person (to a lesser extent obviously) when he was sober?Originally posted by myboynoah View PostLet me pile on funk the dope. My grandfather was a giving drunk. He would get paid, then head to the bar and end up using up a lot of the paycheck buying rounds for the house well into the evening. His and his marriage's salvation was when he joined The Church and turned his back on all of that.
Alcohol absolutely impairs judgement and thinking. A big reason people drink is to lower their inhibitions. And in the context of this discussion, U.S. high school and college students drink to get drunk. Then stupidness happens. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

So sex while drunk is rape? If both parties are drunk then who is raping who? Is it a double rape?Originally posted by mpfunk View PostHow? If a woman is drunk, she cannot consent and you don't have sex with her. If you have sex it is a rape and it is not accidental.
Also, define drunk.
Above you seemed to draw a very distinct black and white line on this. The world I live in is much more gray than yours.

I am still confused how alcohol does not impair your ability to make decisions, yet a woman can't consent while drunk. If she wants it while she is sober, it is not going to change when she is drunk. She is putting out either way, she is probably just down for more freaky shit when she is drunk.*Banned*

You called someone out for using the phrase accidental rape and I believe this is the situation they were referring to where both parties get drunk and then later wake up and regret what they have done.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostNo.
It's a tough question and I don't have an easy answer.

No, he wasn't. There wasn't that much to give anyway, hence the burden on my Grandmother and their four daughters when he often pulled that stunt. He was stern and strict man. Kind of a cut up sometimes, but very strict and disciplined. I guess what you are implying is that deep inside he was irresponsible with his resources, giving them away to the detriment of his family. Thank goodness he was able to quash his real inner self by giving up the imbibing.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostWas he also a giving person (to a lesser extent obviously) when he was sober?Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

You must not visit the craft beer thread. Unless you are calling Funk a poser?Originally posted by creekster View PostSomebody wondered out loud if Funk really has much experience with alcohol. I am starting to wonder the same thing. It's like he has read about it but never really been around it.*Banned*
