  • I learned that a great way to end a lesson is with a fire alarm.
    Not that, sickos.

Let me guess. You started holding firesides the night before, and suddenly things started looking up. Right?

Is that true? Do you get kicked out for not going to meetings?

Not directly. But technically you could get your endorsement pulled by your Bishop for chronic non-attendance. I imagine in practice it rarely happens and would depend on the individual Bishop.

I've never seen it actually happen, but the bishop I had when I was engaged threatened our ward that if we didn't go to sacrament and PH in our home ward we wouldn't get recommends to be sealed. I guess there was a problem with some of the men/women attending the ward of their future spouse. Honestly, MJ and I had no problem being apart for 3 hours of church so the thought of attending together never crossed our minds.

I was told by my BYU Bishop that he would not sign my sealing recommend or next year's EE if I didn't start attending my assigned ward. I was attending my former ward/fiancee's ward where we first met and I had since moved out of to be closer to campus. It wasn't a matter of being apart for 3 hours, it was more an opportunity to be together for a couple of hours and having other time available outside of the church meeting bloc. Because of class schedules, work schedules, and study time, Sunday was the best day to spend time together and that was difficult with having 6+ hours taken up by each having to attend our own ward. Worlds without end.

                  • Who decided to start blocking Twitter and Instagram on church wifi???

Harder and harder to be an active member all the time.

It's been a long time since I used church wifi. It's always slow since everyone else is on it. Just use your own data. Problem solved.

                          • Recently there was a blow up within the ward choir between the choir director and one of the other women. Comments were made, feelings were hurt, etc. It ended up fairly nasty. Last night the Bishop talked to the choir member who has now stopped attending. She feels that the choir director is clearly at fault because previous choir directors all accepted her suggestions.
