It is a practical rule of nature CJ. I still wonder how islamacists ever get lucky given how they abuse women.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Hung around the pool, checked out Palm Springs, then watched team USA. About to head out to dinner. First time here and it's great to see a town in the California desert where everything seems to get watered at least three times a day. What drought?!So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Congrats on doing perhaps the only possible thing more boring than going to church on a Sunday afternoon.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostHung around the pool, checked out Palm Springs, then watched team USA. I pulled up carpet strip, removed baseboard, and scraped concrete slab for 5 hours yesterday afternoon.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostCongrats on doing perhaps the only possible thing more boring than going to church on a Sunday afternoon.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I didn't technically learn this today, but sitting through the first half of a combined PH/RS 5th Sunday lesson on Family History gave birth to a question. Now that gay marriage is legally available to more and more states, how long will it take the church to modify their family history charts to allow for recording a gay marriage? My guess is just north of "far too long."I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

Had a wonderful day at Church. Our ward while not perfect is totally awesome. We have two converts and I've watched their lives totally change for the better over the last year. I shed a few tears today thinking about where they were and how positive they are today about the future.

Sorry, you lost me right there.Originally posted by Bruiserstone View PostOn vacation and went to sacramentmeeting. One the speaker's topic was adultery. Oh my goodness. Dude starts off with David and Bathsheba. He then goes into his break up with his ex wife. It was just short calling her a godless whore while he was perched on the right hand of god. The meeting went over by 20 minutes. My brother in law brought his girlfriend who is a nonmember. Her first time going to church (my guess her last). Absolutely brutal. Needless to say did not stay for the three hour block.

We had one talk today where Walt Disney was mentioned at least six times and what a wonderful person he was and a second talk about over coming anxiety. Christ was never talked about once during either one of these talks, in fact I can't remember the last time I heard a talk about Christ in Sacrament meeting. A non-member visiting our ward for the first time would come out of there wondering what the hell that was. If I ever decided never to attend a meeting again it wouldn't be because of doctrine, it would be because I just don't get anything from the meetings. I try and listen to the talks and get involved with the lessons but I just come away with nothing. I feel like I attend just for the sake of attending and I've been doing it all my life but I want more from it. Does anybody else go through this?

Our 5th Sunday lesson was a pathways infomercial. The minute everyone sat down and figured out what the topic was, there was a clear sense of "how do I get out of here?" in the room. I felt like I was back in Orlando sitting through a time share presentation so that I could get discount tickets on Disney World. Very odd choice for a 5th Sunday, but I guess they figured they had a captive audience."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
