      As long as you're laughing, I'm happy. With or at is such an ephemeral distinction.
      PLesa excuse the tpyos.

        I spent a minute trying to decide if that word was a typo or not.

        • Not going to church today.

          I'm home with my puking 3 year old.

          Watching Music and the Spoken Word this A.M.

          The choir performed Mack Willberg's arrangement of Come Thou Fount.

          Still puts me to tears... in spite of my waxing or waning stages of belief.

          It used to be the music that touched me. Now it's the words.
          Here I raise my Ebenezer,
          Hither by Thy help I’m come;
          And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
          Safely to arrive at home.
          Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
          Prone to leave the God I love;
          Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
          Seal it for Thy courts above.

          • Had a special two hour ward council today where we watched the worldwide leadership training about the priesthood strengthening families. I am not going to lie, I was dreading this. However, I felt the spirit very strongly and was greatly enriched particularly by the section on ministering and priesthood keys.

            • I missed priesthood and SS because I am also at home with a sick toddler but my wife plays piano in primary so we had to do the switcheroo.

              A bit of a pet peeve of mine is how people manage to work in a "Well, the bishop called us and we were just dreading speaking........." in to their talk. Some newlywed girl today managed to tell that story for 10 minutes and she thought it was so funny. I just kind of drives me nuts. We get it. The bishop cornered you and your husband last week and asked you to speak in church. Just like he does to 40 other couples per year.
              Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

                Yes. It's such a powerful song. I wish I had seen that today.

                  We split it over 2 meetings. I only eye-rolled the part in the Mary Fielding Smith home. "I can see the kids reading by the windows." Other than that the training was really good.

                  • Does this remind anybody else of fast and testimony meeting? Please disregard the title of the video and listen to the people talk. It's interesting.

                    • Sacrament meeting in Bridgetown, Barbados today. My wife won a trip by clicking a "like" button on the Facebook page of the swimsuit company she buys her swimwear from. Who knew those contests are real? Anyway I was only half on board with going last night but I'm glad we got out of bed and went. A really great meeting with about 35 wonderful fellow saints. The entire relief society presidency spoke and I enjoyed all of their talks, even the 2nd counselor who read most of hers from a manual.

                        • I learned that that the sacrament bread can be leprachaun green.

                            Yeah that part was a bit much. Sister Dalton is kind of like that. Sister Wixom served out here with her husband who was our mission president a few presidents back. She is a saint.

                            Another part that stood out to me personally was the part talking about patriarchs in the home not needing to be invited to minister to their families. I am guilty of this. Often times when Gidget or one of the girls is ill I find myself debating whether or not they need a blessing, as though there is some threshold of pain or illness that must be crossed before a blessing can be given. That part made me feel really silly and guilty for not having enough faith in priesthood power.

                              • The singles ward meets after our ward. I sat in the foyer and prepared a lesson and caught a glimpse of many of the people that attend the singles ward. I learned that I'm glad I never had to attend a singles ward, or at least one outside of Utah. There were some very interesting people that came in during that time.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
