Saw this yesterday. Saw some bad reviews and was expecting the worst but I ended up enjoying it. Definitely on the lower end of marvel movies but some good lulz keep it moving along. Thought Russel Crowe was hilarious."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Natural Born Killers-- I hated hated hated this movie when I first saw it in 94/95. This time I didn't hate it but still think it would have been better had it stayed a Quentin Tarantino 'hang out' movie rather than a Quentin Tarantino *script that was changed into an Oliver Stone mushroom trip/social commentary movie. I had heard people laud this as like the quintessential film student movie. I was surprised by that bc I thought 'really? I thought it was a self-indulgent piece of shit.' Watching it through new eyes almost 30 years later I can see the obvious satire that it is (I think I found the content way more shocking back as a teenager in the 90s and that stained it for me at the time) and make some interesting observations about Stone's opinion of the media's glorification of violence in the 90s. Kind of prescient, looking back at it from 2022.
Reminds me of some of the dialogue from the opening scene:
"What Kind of pies to you have?"
"We got apple, pecan, cherry, Key lime..."
"Which do you recommend?"
"The Key lime's great, but it's an acquired taste"
"I ain't had Key lime pie in 10 years"
"When you had it, did you like it?"
"No, but I was a completely different person back then. Let's give that Key lime pie a day in court"Last edited by Commando; 07-18-2022, 01:18 PM."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

We saw it the night it came out in, of all places, Tennessee and thought it very weird we were the only ones in the theater on a Friday night. Still, we were very entertained and there was one sequence where I laughed about as hard as I ever have in a movie.Originally posted by All-American View PostThe Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Emily the Criminal.
Aubrey Plaza plays a down-on-her-luck woman who can’t dig herself out of student loans, a bad decision resulting in a battery charge, and just a crappy life. She is offered a chance to earn some money quickly, in a “harmless” but illegal way. Things quickly spiral an in a shorter amount of time she has become a legitimate criminal. Breaking Bad Lite, except without the drugs.
Plaza was very good. The story was tight, pacing was a little slower, and it’s not a gigantic transformation, but it was enjoyable.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

No they don't. You know once you're desensitized enough, anything can feel like it's been 'edited.'Originally posted by BigPiney View Post
I also watched it on an airplane, it was not edited. They don't really edit anymore do they?"I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

Yeah, I uncomfortably found this out the hard way. When I decided to rewatch Wedding Crashers for the first time in years. Laughed like crazy, then couldn't figure out how to fast-forward or turn my screen off when the hook-up montage came on fully unedited.Originally posted by BigPiney View Post
