    Boooo. Maverick was great.

It was definitely formulaic, but it was also awesome.

Bro even my daughter who hates everything about the military watched it twice!

I mean it's no 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', but it was still enjoyable.

                  • Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe was pretty damn perfect. This scene is great. 10/10 recommend especially if you're watching with a teenage son. Nothing like the pure joy of a teenager laughing at dumb, inappropriate jokes.

                      • Saw the Elvis movie. I liked it. The actor that plays Elvis us incredible.

Also, at the theater, there were a bunch of teens in suits. I didn't think much of it. Apparently it's a TikTok challenge

That brings back memories of The Rocky Horror Picture Show when it first came out. People would come dressed as characters. There was a scene when someone was giving a toast and people would stand up and recite along with movie and throw pieces of toast. There was another scene where the audience would yell in unison "No shit Sherlock!". I don't recall the context. There were other bits that were very well choreographed by the audience.

                            • I saw Thor- Love and Thunder; it was exactly what I wanted from a Taika Waititi comic book movie. It was silly, funny, and very unserious, for the most part. Lots of comic relief, if I've been unclear. As close of an experience to reading a comic book as there has ever been in the theatre. And Christian Bale was a great bad guy, too.

Not enough music and Tom Hanks seemed to be over acting quite a bit. I was also not a fan of the the story being told from the perspective of the "bad guy" (Tom Hanks). B- minus is fair but only because the guy who played Elvis was great. Without his performance its a C-.
