I'm 100% caught up. It was fun watching all the episodes in the last 2 weeks. It got slow at times, but when everything came together - it was great TV.
What is the personal problem between Walt and Mike? I don't recall the reason for the ongoing strain.

Ted's as good as dead.
Why is Hank getting to tour Hazmat crime scenes?

Sky broke bad, 'good' - great scene
Hanks not going to stop with Gus' death
What else?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostAgree about the scene with Sky in the hospital. Very nicely done with just the right amount of subtlety.
Other things we learned:
Walt/Jessie/Mike will be working together.
Jessie is all-in with Walt now.
Walt flexing his newfound power/status with Sal, Sky, and even Mike ("because I say it is").The opening scene was a flash forward of a little more than a year, right? Walt turned 50 in the show's premiere episode, and I don't think a full year has gone by chronologically.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostTed's as good as dead.

Walt I want to love you. You are one of my top 5 TV characters ever (you're not Sam Malone, but still). However, the hug and forgiving of Skyler (Weight Watchers should be giving her Jessica's payday, she looked great) was downright creepy.
Some fantastic cinematography last night. Loved the flashlight scene with Hank and the daylight breaking scene with the cars and downtown ABQ.

That was a great scene. Skyler realizing that Walt really is "the danger"; she just looked helpless. A complete 180 from the show's beginning where Walt is a soft, wimpy man that life has beaten into submission and who did everything his wife told him to do like a good soldier.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostHowever, the hug and forgiving of Skyler (Weight Watchers should be giving her Jessica's payday, she looked great) was downright creepy.
Cranston is absolutely amazing in this role. He played that beaten down version of walt perfectly. I never could have imagined in those first two seasons buying this new bad ass Walt. I mean, sure, we saw glimpses of him (walking away after blowing up Tuco's office etc...) but his demeanor, his aura, you just buy it. I don't think there are too many actors out there who could sell this like he has. I'm really going to miss this show when it's all over.

Skyler is one of the most annoying characters on television for me. I don't know if they mean for her to be that way, but there is nothing likable about her. There is nothing about her with which one empathizes. I understand that her world is upside down, but she seems like she has been pissed off every moment of this series and all of it has to do with either Walter not obeying her or her losing control over Walter.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostThat was a great scene. A fun write up of the season premiere
what really boggled the mind was the idea that a member of the White family — a clan more dedicated to breakfast than the Butterworths — would leave a plate of eggs untouched. Forget what Saul declared late last season. If the man who sired the perpetually ravenous Walter Jr., a boy with syrup in his veins and an Eggo where his heart used to be, is able to ignore his free birthday bacon, it can mean only one thing: These truly are the end times.

I don't think the writers have intended it. In fact, Gilligan said they don't understand why the fans loathe her to the extent they do.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostSkyler is one of the most annoying characters on television for me. Why is that annoying? A character doesn't have to be likable to be interesting and to provide dramatic tension. I think the best part of the episode was Pinkman's reaction to the laptop smashing against the side of the truck."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

And funny scene when Mike and Walt were arguing about how to get to the laptop and Jesse was back there going "yo, magnets."Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostI think the best part of the episode was Pinkman's reaction to the laptop smashing against the side of the truck. So Russell...what do you love about music?
