Yeah, the speechifying got old towards the end of the second graduation.

          • I didn't really have an opinion on DLR v. Sammy Hagar, but I recently realized a friend has very, very strong opinions on the matter. So I took a pro-Sammy position just for fun and came to realize that it's my actual position.

Did DLR becoming an EMT in NYC come up?

DLR only VH fans are the worst fans in rock. Their efforts at gatekeeping are misguided and ridiculous. They like to use Sammy as a scapegoat for the change in VH music, but it was really Eddie who pushed it. Eddie grew as a composer during the Sammy era, and that growth is reflected in the music. It was helpful that Sammy was actually a good singer with an incredible vocal range. Dreams still kills me every time I hear it.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                        • Does this affect someone like Denim or other Russian prospects that might play for BYU?

I'd love to know what algorithm decided to make this decision. There's probably some line in some research somewhere that it grabbed and someone said, "suka mormony. (сука мормоны)"

Seems really random. But a badge of honor nonetheless. I bet Putin loves the University of Utah.
