I read today that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart kept a fart diary. If I ever start keeping a journal I take comfort that I'll never suffer from writer's block.

We live in the most evil time in the history of the world.

Vox is a general interest news site for the 21st century. Its mission: to help everyone understand our complicated world, so that we can all help shape it. In text, video and audio, our reporters explain politics, policy, world affairs, technology, culture, science, the climate crisis, money, health and everything else that matters. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of income or status, can access accurate information that empowers them.

Or not. I saw an article on that yesterday. Very interesting, though the reduction in smoking is offset by all those stupid kids that are vaping.

Seems like they whine more. But that might be my imagination.

We have talked about fake phone calls from the IRS before. I have had 3 in the last week.

I have called back the numbers and played the old dumb guy routine. It is very funny as I can tell they want to move on. Seems like all the IRS agents I have talked to when calling the numbers back have an accent.

Last week I had to speak with a genuine IRS agent about my final 2015 tax payment (he acknowledged the IRS screwed up the processing and he fixed it on the phone). In an entertaining coincidence, while we were talking a different IRS office (one apparently located in Mumbai from the sound of things) called on our house line. During the threatening message from Mumbai, I let the real agent listen in. I wish I had had the skill to conference everybody in so that they could sort things out among themselves.

What bothers me is I went to the IRS site last week and reported the erroneous phone. Here they are calling me again. I don't know why they ask to have this stuff reported if they aren't that interested in shutting these people down..

If this isn't being nosey, are your quarterly's like a million bucks each?

I recently had the following 3 related but random thoughts:

                        1. "Does Clackamascoug use a template or some kind of javascript plugin to automatically format his "aside" comments in a different color or does he manually select the text and change the font each time?"
                        2. "Why does formatting his aside comments in a different color appeal to him so much?"
                        3. "He is a weird dude."

Regarding #2, he copied that from me. I've been hiding comments in plain white text on here for years. How many things have I said about you that have gone unseen, well, at least by you?

Yes but Clack modified the practice and uses light gray text. He "hides" the comments like a cheating spouse who wants to get caught.
