Convert! I think I could've still gotten into BYU.
I don't know if I'd've gotten into Georgia Tech anymore since I didn't take calculus, let alone AP Calculus.

I never tested well in math. I get math when I sit down and study it one-on-one with a professor/teacher, but when I'm timed to take it in a generalized format, that's not my thing. My GRE Math score was comparable---I think it was right below 50th percentile. But, I always find it odd that even doctored faculty members who rail against standardized testing in public schools and Mormons who vilify Common Core and its accompanying assessments will put stock into THEIR OWN standardized test scores as somehow valid because THEY did well in a system that privileges their abilities. My math scores show that I was bad at taking ACT math sections, and that some of yall were better at it than I was. I'm still wuap, bitches.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postbro how did you get a 22 on act math?"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. I was much the same, but with me it was my English score which came in in the low 20s. Everything else was quite a bit higher, fortunately. I always thought it was weird that my highest score was Reading Comprehension, but my lowest was English.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostI never tested well in math. I recently found a Georgia Criterion Reference Test report in a box at my mom's house from me from a test in the fall of 1987 that said I had a "limited command of written English." The next year I was in honors English, so, take what you will from my English score.Originally posted by creekster View PostGOod point. I've got kids in Spanish who can understand everything they read, but as soon as they try to write something, the wheels come off.Originally posted by lambdacoug View PostI was much the same, but with me it was my English score which came in in the low 20s. I thought you were quoting Rube Baker from Major League II with the Venezuelans line. If it was a Simpsons line, I missed it.Originally posted by falafel View PostAre we about done here? I got a hot date tonight.
