Seems at least ten years too long for it to be a life insurance plot.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostPelado gets it
Is it possible Mrs. Diddley has a life insurance policy out on me I don't know about? Because running the numbers, she wants to keep me alive for another 12 years.

I need a ruling from the grammar experts on this sentence from a CNN article:
NOTE: I know what the sentence intends to say, I'm asking if you think it actually says what it intends to sayInvestigators believe a twin-engine airplane was intentionally crashed onto a busy street in East Hartford, Connecticut, killing a student pilot, local police and a federal official said Wednesday
A. Did Wednesday say an airplane killed a student pilot, local police and a federal official?
B. Did a federal official say on Wednesday that an airplane killed a student pilot and local police?
C. Did local police and a federal official say on Wednesday that an airplane killed a student pilot?
I think there is a strong argument to be made for A. Even if the argument for A fails I think it's amusing to read it that way (glossing over the fact that the student pilot was killed - that part's not amusing)

I saw this picture on twitter today and had the thought, I bet the dudes in the photo have been with a 1000 women. The more I think about it, that may be too low. Dillon and Lowe have to be way north of 150 each. Cruise is Cruise- who knows what that guy is really like? Dalton is no stranger to admiring women, or outdoor yoga sessions. Emilo could easily have been with 500 women just be riding in his brother's wake. It is hard to imagine now, but C. Thomas Howell was once a Teen Beat heartthrob, and a poster of Ralph M was on every teenagers wall in 1985. This group of greasers could easily represent 3000 or more broken hearts.

1000 women would be an average of 148 women each. 3000 would be 428 a piece.

I think it's more like 857 women and 143 dudes.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostI saw this picture on twitter today and had the thought, I bet the dudes in the photo have been with a 1000 women. Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

All 3 statements are true. You don't think Macchio was with at least 150 from 84 (KK1) to 89 (KK3)? Would anyone be shocked if Lowe and/or Dillon were north of 500?Originally posted by falafel View Post

I'm looking at the Utah U.S. Congressional district maps. I see the 2003 changes split the SLC area, which was previously its own district, across the four districts currently in place. Was that gerrymandering to keep SLC democrats from getting a House seat, or is there some other reason?"What are you prepared to do?" - Jimmy Malone

No, that's pretty much it. I don't think anybody has tried to argue otherwise. Though it'd be fun to hear somebody try to explain why the people north of I-80 are more like the people in St. George, while the people below I-80 identify more with Lake Powell.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostI'm looking at the Utah U.S. Congressional district maps.
