Guessed Russia, but went for something closer to the Koreas.

NY instead of Detroir. Got Hong Kong w/in 3km and 1 year.

I picked Wuhan over Taipei, Mumbai over Lithuania (whiff), Belfast over Dublin, and Stockholm over Finland. And on the last pic, just as I clicked submit, I thought, oops! Wrong war, picking WWII over WWI.

The Taiwan flag shoulder patch helped on one. The lion in from of the library helped.

A couple of good guesses, but a couple of embarrassing transpositions. I got cute and thought the IRA parade may have been Boston, and then put the book drive in the UK.

Also continue to struggle with years. Got the Helsinki subway right, but whiffed by 9 years.

                • 41,862 today. Picked India instead of Lithuania but at least they gifted me the year. The Helsinki pic threw me off on time, I saw the butt cut and the old bag and knew it was the 80s but then figured the Finns probably took the butt cut into the early 90s. Oops.

Glad I wasn't the only one. So you could make out the year? I couldn't make it out. I think there's a resolution difference on my work computer.

Nice rebound from a sub 30k day yesterday.
9881 - 1 yr, 3.1 km, Nice of them to include the flag. I jut dropped a pin on Taipei and picked 2020.
9545 - 0 yr, 88.7km, was between 1968 and 1988. Decided on 1988 even though the architecture looked closer to 60s so went with old soviet block.
9991 - 0 yr, 446m, IRA means Dublin, looked at ties and collars and thought late thirties.
9913 - 1 yr, 1km, I actually started on 1982 and moved it at the last second losing points. Language looked scndanavian but weird, so picked Finland.
9950 - 1 yr, 24m, I forgot that we didn't actually start sending troops until 1918. Hats on the gents helped push me to WWI instead of WWII. NY library made location easy.

Mistook South Korea for Taiwan, somewhere more central Europe (just dropped the pin in a strategic effort to cover my bases) for Lithuania, Belfast for Dubin (and 13 years off), Finland for Sweden, and London for New York . Thought for sure that it would have been an English background for WWI.

I don't think I will ever have that combination of luck (75%) and knowledge (25%) again.
