Any good ideas for an Word Processor type app? I'm specifically looking for something that will let me keep a journal-type of document where I can type in on my iPad but also export it to Word at some point.

BYU cougars....free app just released this weekend. IPad version looks good. Has full rosters with pics (women's soccer ) schedules, video, articles, wallpaper, etc. Lots of stuff going on in this app and is a nice compliment to the BYUtv app. Very nicely done, the app looks good and the price is right.

Go get some and let the healing continue!

Question for Uncle Ted and other iPhone users. My contract is up and I am toying with the idea of getting an iPhone in October when the iPhone 5 is released on Sprint. Perhaps my biggest reluctance is leaving the android world is that I love the free Google Navigation app. I have been doing a little research on the iPhone navigation apps. Looks like many of them cost quite a bit of money and many of them require a monthly fee (yuck). On the other hand, they do have a wide array of choices and many of them work in offline mode by downloading a full set of maps to the phone. By contrast, Google Nav requires a constant connection and that has caused some problems for me in certain cities. I also note that Garmin, Tom Tom, etc. have full-featured nav apps on the iPhone platform.

So my question is what nav app do you all prefer? And do your nav apps support a google-type search feature? Far and away my favorite feature of Google Nav is that you can simply speak the address you are seeking and it almost always finds it in seconds. None of that finicky multi-step nonsense for entering addresses.

Of course, having the map data downloaded would eliminate the delay of downloading that data on a slow "edge" data connection area.

Whoa, whoa, wait a minute (bolded part). Since when did the iPhone have google navigation? Everything I have found says that it is NOT on the iphone. Also, there are rumors that Apple might come out with their own free nav app on the iPhone 5:

One thing Google won't let the iPhone have, but that Android phones have, is free turn-by-turn navigation.

I'm a total noob, having only had an iPhone (a lowly 3GS, even) for about 2 months. But it came pre-installed with a google maps app, complete with turn by turn directions.

True. I actually prefer the click forward turn by turn, as it allows you to see a few steps ahead.

Does HTC have a 4G dual core phone on Sprint? I would avoid the iPhone and just get that. The voice-activated Google Navigation is a killer app.
