Jamaal Williams who was recruited by and held an offer from Utah has committed to BYU.
He is not LDS.
He is from Fontana, CA.
He is not white.
Does this mean as much as when Chase Hansen committed to Utah?
Does this spell the end of Utah recruiting of non-Utah non-LDS athletes?

One can hope, because if they focus only on LDS kids from Utah, they'll end up with a roster that could beat most of the BYU intramural teams. Anyone know if Hinds is intent on serving a mission? What I'm reading from Nebraska sources is that the Huskers think they have no shot at Hinds if he is thinking of serving a mission (think he'll opt for BYU or Utah). Although Nebraska has signed LDS players from Utah (and elsewhere), I don't think Nebraska has ever signed an LDS player who has then served a mission.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post“Not the victory but the action. Travis Wilson Performing well at the Elite 11
5. PQB Travis Wilson, 6-6/205, San Clemente (Calif.)
Committed to: Utah
Strengths: There has been a lot of buzz about Wilson, who has the weight and stature to really have a lot of upside. When he gets off a tight spiral it's one of the prettiest passes at the camp. Wilson is so tall and rangy that he can sit in the pocket and really see the field well.
Weaknesses: One of the only issues with Wilson is he has a strange delivery where he short-arms his throws and doesn't have the traditional release. Maybe that's not an issue or maybe a quarterbacks coach will work on it but his style seems to be working.
