Good signing for the Utes. Did he have any other offers?

Wow that is a really nice list. This kid will probably come back to haunt BYU.

Kyle and Norman attended Nate Fakahafuas basketball game Friday night. Watching him on the gridiron I thought he would need to add a bit of weight to play TE or DE. Seeing him on the basketball court he looks like a man amongst boys.

What do you mean? He's simply a young man with great judgment.

Someone connected to Highland said that Utah has told Nate that they want to start him out as an OLB. Did he look like he was too big for that position? Frankly, I can't see anywhere but TE or DE.

You can lead them to water but you cannot make them drink.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Look, in this we are just trying to follow BYU once again. As Bruce Hafen once said of y'all, "We are trying to a build a university of which our football team can be proud."

The Utah coaches on how different it is to recruit in the PAC12:

The most interesting part to me is how many more recruits make their decisions at the last minute, and among a number of different schools.

Here's an interesting snippit from ESPN insider:

Lane Kiffin has the No. 4 class in the country and is looking to sign the maximum of 28 players for 2011. That's 13 more than the NCAA would like him to have.

USC is appealing sanctions that would limit its signing classes to 15 for 2011 through 2013, but until the NCAA makes a ruling, the sanctions are on hold. So on Kiffin goes, hauling in several of the nation's top prospects. As the Los Angeles Times points out, he's well aware that when the NCAA does make a ruling in late February or early March, the committee won't likely pull a scholarship from a player retroactively.

Let's just say Kiffin is stocking the cupboard.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

So he's planning to ignore the limitation and back the NCAA into a corner by using the recruits as pawns? Wow. Hardball. And pretty arrogant, IMO.

It'll be interesting to see if this gets any coverage or not. If Kiffin makes the NCAA fold like a lawn chair on this issue, it'll set a pretty interesting precedent.

                              You guys are not understanding.

SC is not bound by the scholarship reductions until AFTER the appeal. However, if they were to implement the limitations now, pre appeal, then the number of current recruits would be reduced to the lower number that the NCAA "would like SC to have."

As it stands, SC is basically taking a full class like everyone else.

They are doing nothing wrong, nor will the NCAA look bad as a result. It is just a normal recruiting year.

They are basically choosing to stagger the bowl ban and the recruiting limitations, instead of doing them concurrently.

I could see how you would find this process to be interesting. As a Ute fan, you are probably not used to recruits having other alternatives.
