Ha. You are really grasping at straws to make this point.

Taysom completed 73% of his passes in the second half. 67% for the game. Zero turnovers.

      BYU drives today:

      Downs
      Punt
      Downs
      Punt
      ...
      FG
      TD
      TD
      TD
      TD

But according to shaka, he didn't play well. Good grief. We dominated a B1G team on the road. Scored on all five of our last drives. TDs in all four of our second half drives. Chewed clock on every drive. Taysom made play after play to keep those drives alive. As a fan, if you can't be happy about that, there is something wrong with you.

Totally agree! Like I said earlier in this thread we not only beat a B10 team on the road, but we beat them at their own B10 smash mouth way. This was a significant win. Compare this with the results last year at Michigan and a few years back at Wisconsin. This was total domination of the defending B10 champion. I know they are retooling this year, but good hell there is NOTHING about this game to complain about.

And yes Taysom Hill played an awesome game and made some great throws and had some excellent runs that shows that he is more like the old Taysom and not the man who we saw the first part of the season.

        Significant win? Hell yes!!

Re: Tanner, I'm guessing that the coaches know he will see the field anyway for mop up duty next month during the soft part of the schedule. Might as well have him take a knee now since he'll be playing the fourth quarter in our last three games.

Great thread title, JP. Keep it up!
              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

He threw for 138 yards with a five yard per completion average. He couldn't hit the medium difficulty throws and then resorted to the underneath throws. I'm sorry Lebowski, you could hand off to Jamaal and Squally and probably complete some of those passes. Taysom has not had a breakout game as a thrower. Hopefully that changes in the next couple of weeks.

Step aside, GM. We have a new double-down king!

Haha. I'm sure the NFL scouts that were present were rocketing him up the draft boards.

The only possible thing you could whine about is that now JP will be asked to come up with game thread titles until we lose.

The post-game show said it was Quin Ficklin (sp?). I assume he had to borrow a jersey - which happened to be the same number Hinds wears - to be eligible.

You said "Taysom didn't win this game" even though he completed 73% of his passes in the second half, led BYU on long TD drives on every series, was 6/7 on 3rd-down conversions, consistently stepped into the pocket and made great reads, and ran the ball beautifully. As evidence for your assertion, you point to the fact that he "simply threw underneath". Bloody hell, he was near perfect and scored TDs on EVERY SINGLE DRIVE.

SL Trib: "Kragthorpe: BYU’s Taysom Hill comes through in key moments to beat Michigan State"

KSL: "BYU, Taysom Hill dominate Michigan State"

PK: "We got a new leader on the field. BYU goes 73 yards on 13 plays to take a 10-7 lead. Taysom Hill was nearly flawless on that drive"
PK: "Awesome drive by the Cougars. That's the Taysom Hill of yesteryear. 13 plays, 70 yards, 5:48 of time. BYU's best game this season"

Jake Hatch: "This is Taysom Hill's best performance of the season by a large margin."

Jamaal was amazing, but they both "won the game". Stop being a Tater hater and enjoy the win! You will feel much better. I promise.

I have been critical of Taysom this year. It was nice to see him shut people like me up today. He played great. It was a fun game.
