Help Wanted: Who replaces Bronco?

Serious question on funds. If the church/BYU wants exposure, there are few things better than a winning football program. Why wouldn't the church be willing to pony up to keep Broncos or for a new coach? Seems really short sighted considering the other things the church spends money on."Friendship is the grand fundamental principle of Mormonism" - Joseph Smith Jr.

Because they generally don't think things through before they express them.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostWhy on earth would any ute fan be happy that bronco is leaving?

It's safer to put up some Christmas ads in Times Square than risk having some 20 year kid go ballistic after a bowl game.Originally posted by Sullyute View PostSerious question on funds. Do you make it a habit of personally disliking otherwise good people? I mean I probably "hate" Gary Crowton (in a sports hate way) But at the same time I feel kind of bad about that because by all accounts he is a good person. So is Bronco. He may not be someone's first choice to hang out with or be buddies with, but the way you said it about not liking him as a person just sounds a little harsh.Originally posted by jay santos View PostDidn't say he was a bad guy.Last edited by BlueK; 12-05-2015, 09:55 AM.

Their are a lot of "good" people I dislike. Some good people can be exceedingly annoying.Originally posted by BlueK View PostDo you make it a habit of personally disliking otherwise good people? A lot of people have said that "In front of a camera Bronco" is a different person than real Bronco. I don't know firsthand, but he does come off a little or a lot weird on TV. Has anyone been listening to national media on this story? Nothing but praise and respect of Bronco along with kudos to Virginia for making a great hire. It's only Salt Lake media that doesn't like him. Not all of that is their own doing. Bronco wasn't exactly very trusting of them and acted accordingly. On the other hand, most of the trash they write or say is nothing more than to generate buzz by pissing off BYU fans, so Bronco's distrust is also understandable.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostTheir are a lot of "good" people I dislike. A lot of people don't care for Bronco's personality. I can write up a thorough analysis of why, but I'm sure you already know the reasons. the persecution complex, the LDS/righteousness schtick, the fighting with the fan base, the love affair with the talentless athlete with heart, etc.Originally posted by BlueK View PostDo you make it a habit of personally disliking otherwise good people?

I have praise and respect for Bronco and give kudos to Virginia for making a great hire. I stated earlier this is a bad situation for BYU. I still don't like him.Originally posted by BlueK View PostA lot of people have said that "In front of a camera Bronco" is a different person than real Bronco. Doesn't the graduating transfer have to go to a program with a graduate program not offered at the institution transferred from? If attending UVA law school, I think Taysom would have to use a redshirt year because of BYU's JRC.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostI don't know...
