6th place and going to the Veg: BYU vs Utah bowl game thread.
The first annual CS BBQ at your place. Bonus if SJS and Shaka both show up and fight.
Hey, that's not a bad idea.

Sorry I was channeling my inner Rocky. With that said I've discussed my mother, her cancer fight, and her subsequent death on this board. It's probably a good idea to lay off people's mothers.
Also I wouldn't say anything to anyone on this board that I wouldn't say in person. I think it would be better if others followed suit.

FTR, I think you got out-Rocky'ed by SJS.

This thread continues to amaze. I'm further convinced that neither Topper or Douger know the first thing about football.
BYU adjusted after some really crazy bad luck. The way they picked themselves up after that and adjusted isn't just because the players decided to not roll over. The coaches did their job and the combination put BYU in a position to possibly tie the game. I don't agree with all of Anae's game calls (especially a third down draw play in the red zone and all deep routes on third and short) but he did a good job adjusting and taking advantage of what Utah was doing. The defense got put in bad spot after bad spot but they played great football for over three quarters. The stunts and blitz packages that kept Utah on their toes weren't called by the players, it was Bronco sending those in.
I've been monitoring CB and frankly it's disgusting the way many are going after Bronco. Their criticism is in no way based in reality or any type of sound football knowledge.
And I'm amazed you double down on the coaches when they're busy calling long passing routes on 3rd and 1, FGs when we need TDs, and not going for an onside kick with 3 minutes left. Bronco deserves every bit of criticism for how he's had the team prepared to play Utah the past half decade.
Good luck, bad luck, whatever. The first quarter was fluke football at it's finest.
Also my mother is dead so check yourself. If you'd like to discuss that further next time you're in town I'd be glad to meet with you.
LOL. You fluke guys are hilarious. It's not a fluke when they do it every single game. But please, continue on with your massive amount of football knowledge. I'm impressed.

I've can always find a couple of things to gripe about. I know enough not to go scorched earth like you and a lot of the CB types.

Who's going scorched Earth? At this point, I'm glad we're all moving on to a different staff. I've seen this story against Utah too many times to chalk it up to a fluke. Not kicking an onsides kick was a terrible decision.

Once again what happened in that game is not something you see every game. In fact meltdowns like that are very rare. The last thing I remember that even comes close was Max throwing five interceptions vs Utah in 2008. That's not even comparable because those interceptions occurred over the course of the game and not in sequence in such a small amount of time.

There was plenty of time and the defense was playing great. Why not put stopping Utah on the backs of the defense? I get the rationale for an onside kick and wouldn't have complained if they had done it but very few coaches would have called it with over three minutes left and a defense that is getting the job done.
