No the ref was out of position. He should have been over the ball. Why penalize a player for you not doing job correctly?

I have to think I wouldn't have. The ref it happened to didn't throw a flag, nor did any of the other 10(?) or so refs on the field at the time.

WRT the playoff, if Oregon loses in the P12 championship game and/or if FSU loses, is there a chance both Baylor and TCU get in?

??? Utah had an injury plagued season as well. Utah lost its top wide receiver, its top safety, its top CB missed several games. Its top 3 linebackers missed several games. Also lost its starting qb.
