Sort of starting QB. Wasn't he named the starter only the week before? Not sure you can count the QB position (although I'll allow you to count Utah's QB play as equally devastating as an injury).

Was it Utah's best season in the PAC12 thus far?

Since Utah started playing in the PAC12 (2011 season, including this current season):

Number of winning seasons: Utah (2), BYU (4)
Number of bowl games played: Utah (2), BYU (4)
Number of conference championships won and total possible: Utah (0/4), BYU (0/0)
Highest football ranking achieved: Utah (17), BYU (18)
Highest basketball ranking achieved: Utah (25?), BYU (3)
Number of NCAA tournament appearances: Utah (0), BYU (3, including a Sweet 16 appearance)
Number of College Basketball Player of the Year Awards: Utah (0), BYU (1)

you guys should have pac 12 depth, though.

We do. Travis Wilson is now our backup QB!

I have been saying this for weeks. When Utah upset UCLA, a Ute friend of mine who has texted me about football a total of 3 times (all three immediately post Holy-War) in the last 4 years (hmm, why is that timing significant) suddenly began chirping at me again. After the loss against ASU, he disappeared, only to reemerge after the Stanford win. Here is my text exchange with him, verbatim, after the Stanford-Utah game:

              Him: Quittingham!

Me: Lol. Enjoy that offense. Actually, I'm sure you'll have a new O Coordinator by next season.

Him: Enjoy playing UNLV in mid-November with a fork already in your season.

Me: Meaningless games are meaningless games. Keep pretending that win over an awful Farm team meant something. Enjoy the Vegas bowl.
No response. I kept thinking maybe he would text me after the loss vs. AZ this weekend, but nope.

              • your friend sounds like a huge jerk, which makes sense given that he is a ute fan

hey you never reported back on your fish fry. since the game was over by halftime, i assume you had plenty of time to prepare something delish.

I agree, there is room for improvement; my text burn would have been better if I had gone with the Sun Bowl.

During the Stanford game? You are correct that the Utes really manhandled them, but I still thought Stanford had a chance at halftime.

                            The fish was delish, btw!

First of all, THE SUN BOWL was pretty sweet last time; I'd take that over Vegas.

Second of all, playing in El Paso instead of Las Vegas means fewer BYU fans showing up wearing their royal blue Cougar gear. That behavior drives me crazy!!!!!
