  • I hate Mondays after a loss to Utah.

Edit - and what are the chances the Utah at the most only wins 2 more games? I kind of need them to miss a bowl game again. Insufferable Ute fans.

    • When did Jamal get hurt? Trying to remember. Trying to decide how much i think that had an impact on the game. None of the RB's ran that well, but he averaged 4.0 per carry and the trend has been that we've gotten stronger as the game goes on.

I want them to win six games and go to the Kraft Mac & Cheese hunger bowl so we can kick their fuck'n asses. Remember what Paul said:

For it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
I wish them well in their fight in that conference of heathens.

That reminds me. The only reason BYU lost was because they didn't have Spencer Hadley.

            You're welcome, JIC.

Jorgenson bit on the misdirection on the Poole 60 yarder right? Totally lost because of Hadley. Stupid Narc.

Speaking of Poole, he had one run for 65 yards and 17 runs for 31 yards. If Hadley had been there it would have been worse.

I think this had an impact on the end of the game. Utah at least had to respect Williams. They didn't Alisa or Lasike. Those guys are great compliments to Williams, but to fill in full time, I'm not sold. I'd like to see what Hine can bring.

                    • btw, not sure it has been mentioned, but let's go ahead and fire whatever TESL intern the football team hired from over at the foreign language houses to run the scoreboard during the game. Down and yardage was wrong almost the entire game, the score was wrong at one point, and there were stretches when stats werent being updated at all.

Also, I wish BYU would follow the B1Gs lead this year on instant replay. Previously, the B1G was following standard convention re: replays: no controversial calls, no slow-mo, etc. This year, the B1G lifted that restriction and now fans get to see exactly what the refs in the booth get to see. By all accounts, the fan experience has been enhanced tremendously. Scoreboard operational issues aside, there were so many replay opportunities on Saturday that I wonder how long before other conferences and indies start following suit.
                      Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I strongly agree with this. To attend the game is already to sacrifice the actual viewing of the game somewhat in exchange for visceral experience, and it's not like that trend will reverse as technology continues to get better and better. No sense in exacerbating the problem by preventing basic replay.

                        • I did rather enjoy the wailing and gnashing of teeth though as inexplicably Utah took a 19-6 lead following a BYU field goal. Grown men in their 50's and 60's yelling and screaming from section JJ as if somehow the moron in the booth would hear them.

Agreed. TV sort of kills the live game experience as it is with timeouts and delays. It would be nice to at least see the replays being discussed.
                            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Those two just seem redundant to me. They are plodding guys without great burst that can put their shoulder down and run, but they aren't going to make a guy or two miss and break a huge run.

It makes no sense to me that Hine didn't see time.

                              • Apo has injured shoulder, which limited his playing time vs Utah. It was apparently injured vs UVA.
