Go to Tuscaloosa. Tickets won't be cheap though. I am a homer, though. Both are awesome places to go to a game.

I was curious about the difference in price so I checked stubhub (yes, DDD I know buying from a scalper is cheaper). Cheapest ticket for Alabama on that date is nearly $200 while LSU is only $32. That could have something to do with Alabama playing A&M that day and LSU playing Kentucky.

I'm 90% for the Nebraska game and about 50% for Missouri. Still considering Michigan as well.

I'm already booked for Nebraska. But work is keeping me from pretty much everything else, even most home games this year. Hopefully some of that clears up.

You could normally go the DDD route at Nebraska for a game like this and not have an issue, as long as you don't mind getting to your seats after kickoff. But there are a few things that make this game unique that might jack up the price: home opener, new coach's first game, first time opponent that is a reasonably good name, Heisman candidate

That said, you'd probably still be ok scalping one, but I have never had the courage to do that after paying for a plane ticket.

The worst thing about independence, at least for me, is that all of our good roadies happen in September; that is generally the month of the football season where I'm most limited in my ability to get away. Also, my brother is my BYU travel buddy, and his work is always super busy in September, making it nearly impossible for him to get away, even if I can. I'll get down to the UCLA game, and probably up to BSU at home. But Nebraska or Michigan are out of the question for me this year.

But I freaking hate the cold, and I don't know if I can bring myself to travel to a game in KC if it's going to be freezing. I could put up with the cold to go somewhere iconic, but I'm not sure Mizzou at Arrowhead really qualifies.

I hear you. I bought a bunch of cold weather BYU gear for the Wisconsin game a couple years ago, but still got chilled.

I have thought about this, but, truth be told, I am too risk averse and if I go, I will need three seats together. If BYU has 2 or fewer losses by the time the Mizzou game comes around, I will also be attending that game as well.
