And will there be content that is exclusive to regional channels? If I want to watch ASU/Colorado but it is only on Arizona and Mtn, am I sol?

My impression is that if you want to watch a PAC-12 game, you'll be able to. You may have to buy the equivalent of ESPN Prime Ticket, but you can see them all.

Well, it's no 10 games on ESPN networks, but it might not be terrible.

Looks like the conference owns the channel outright:

With a launch date of August 2012, the network, which is owned by the conference, includes "TV everywhere" rights, permitting the network to be viewed on any digital device.
Under the agreement, 850 love events will be broadcast annually with 350 of those on the national feed.

Estimates are that the network(s) will bring in an additional 7 million per year per school?

This in addition to the 20+ million from the ESPN/FOX deal?

In addition to the bowl revenue?

                    30 million+?

We got 1.nothing from the MWC last year?

                    Good grief.

One article, probably mistakenly, hints that Utah AD Chris Hill believes Utah may get more money sooner than expected. I'm curious what becomes of that. At this point, Utah getting a part share is peanuts in terms of the rest of the deal. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Utah gets more money sooner. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

I don't think many Cougar fans will admit this, but I am so effing jealous that you guys are in the PAC-12 it makes me sick.

On the other hand....we get 2-for-1s with Notre Dame, BITCHES!!

                      haha.

I prefer to think of them as 6 for 2s.

Could be the fine print about the TV deal vis-a-vis a conference network. Maybe, like the championship game money, that isn't phased.

HFN, every game will at least be available online. And if I had to guess, I'm sure every regional network will be available through some satellite package. Probably the sports pack for DirecTV.

There's also the possibility that football games picked up by the P12 network will not overlap, so even if they aren't necessarily shown on the national network, they will be shown on all the regional networks (similar to how Fox Sports Network will have "national" games shown across the various regional networks).

I would never use the work 'effing' but I too have felt the emotional pangs associated with the Utes inclusion and the Cougars exclusion move to independence. On the other hand, I include myself among the delusional BYU fans that believes BYU can win it all, even under the current system. Still, affiliation has its priveleges as we've seen the past few weeks.
