I think it is a metaphor for the proverbial "blank canvas" that Utah has before itself. The school can now re-invent itself as a potentially relevant program. What Ute fan would not be excited by that?

Just saw the little blip on channel 5 for PAC12 media days. I will have to admit there is a jealous bone in my body that rises on occasion and this was one of those occasions.

While I would like to see the Utes win the PAC10, there is a part of me, the jealous part that may not be able to take it.

Damn, that should have been us.

Utes getting some ESPN love that would have never happened before joining the ranks of the BCS:

Would ESPN ever have spent time talking about an unknown quantity at Utah before this?

This kid has never taken a handoff in a DI game. He may not even be a starter or get the majority of the carries. Who knows if he'll even be any good.

But it's sure fun to watch and hear from national media.

This being a BCS school is fun!

That kid looks amazingly strong. IIRC he had a great spring apart from knowing which gap to run through. All part of the learning process but yes it's nice to get pub on a national level (BCS or not!)
