    .
My experience was that the rivalries are much less intense in SEC country than BYU-Utah. I only know enogh to say for certain about Auburn-Alabama and Bama-Tennessee. Of those two, Bama fans hate Tennessee more-and Auburn fans hate Bama more. But it is a more collegial hate (if that is possible) than the BYU-Utah feelings.

KJZZ will air the Montana St game

They also have the option of picking up games that aren't chosen by ESPN/Fox Sports.

It's hard not to assume every Utah game will be televised this year, which is nice considering we aren't technically covered by a TV plan this season.

For out of state Ute fans, will ESPN Gameplan have the KJZZ broadcast(s)?

I can only assume it will.

I've had Gameplan the last two years, and I've been really happy, especially since I don't have access to ESPN3.

Ted thinks the Utes are the PAC-12 "under the radar team" for 2011. This video gives that team for a number of conferences.

Utes are 26 in the Rivals/Yahoo! preseason countdown. Cougs are 25. Pretty good writeups. Not as good as Phil Steele, but quite good analysis.

Tanks, OU. I noticed Air Force in there at #29 and was reminded of how glad I am we don't have to play them annually anymore.

Wilner with an update on the PAC-12 Network:

Tuesday is all about football: It’s Pac-12 media day in Los Angeles, which means the preseason poll, roster changes, lineup projections, strengths, weaknesses, cliches, tempering expectations, praising opponents and maybe a little Will Lyles (when Chip Kelly’s on the podium… Continue Reading →

I think it is a metaphor for the proverbial "blank canvas" that Utah has before itself. The school can now re-invent itself as a potentially relevant program. What Ute fan would not be excited by that?

I don't think it has the same effect on Cougar fans. It probably affects your stomach more than your heart. But it did draw comment from three of you in short order!
