Also, is the Washington St return game still scheduled for August 31? I believe there was some uncertainty about that?"It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

Actually as a Maryland fan I can tell you the fans did not run Big Ralph out. The new AD did for a variety of bad reasons. The AD had a deal with Mike Leitch but the school President nixed the deal and the fans then went nuts.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostMaryland doesn't have any football fans. They just have basketball fans who like to set things on fire. Those basketball fans eagerly ran the only good football coach they every had out and are now getting their just desserts. That would be a nice game for east coasters because of location, but that is in the bottom third of ACC games you would want to see as a fan. Almost any other ACC game would be better.
Ralph Friedgen had Maryland as one of the better football teams in the ACC over the last decade. Many fans who loved Ralph won't show up for games, many other fans hate Randy Edsall and won't show up for games. Edsall has bad mouthed Ralph every chance he gets and is hated by Terp fans. Byrd stadium has been refurbished and a new field from Under Armour founder Maryland alum Kevin Plank is being introduced this August so anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they are talking about. You don't what your talking about if you say fans ran Ralph out of Maryland.
Virginia has a new coach who is doing well but when you speak of fans who
don't care about football the Wahoos are on top of the list.

I was in Madison once in November and the golf courses were open. It was 65 degrees and beautiful. In fact, I was kicking myself for not bringing my clubs since Whistling Straits was charging only $60 for green feesOriginally posted by TripletDaddy View PostGreat. A roadie to Madison, Wisconsin in November.
I'm still going, though. Gonna buy me a bag of squeaky cheese!

Sure it's an anomaly, but Madison can be nice that time of year."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I hope so. While I won't go as far as you and physically kick myself (ouch!) I will be pleasantly surprised if it isn't really cold. I don't know much about Madison but I assume there is enough to see and do to fill up a weekend roadie.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI was in Madison once in November and the golf courses were open. I do find it interesting how this deal loosely parallels the PAC12 - B1G deal. I'm sure it's just coincidence, but its interesting.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
