        Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                The best thing about my smack talk here is that I know more about BYU football than 90% of this board. Not something I am proud of by the way.

I still don't understand how a team that didn't have single win vs the teams ranked in the final poll that year can be named National Champion. That is another conversation for another day. Thank goodness we now have the current system in place so that mistake never happens again.
