Maryland doesn't have any football fans. They just have basketball fans who like to set things on fire. Those basketball fans eagerly ran the only good football coach they every had out and are now getting their just desserts. That would be a nice game for east coasters because of location, but that is in the bottom third of ACC games you would want to see as a fan. Almost any other ACC game would be better.Originally posted by OceanBlue View PostBYU vs Maryland at Byrd would be awesome. That would be a crazy mix of fans. Terp fans considered the worst behaved fans in the ACC with BYU fans would be worth the drive to watch the action in the stands.

UVA would be perfect. Nice setting and a game you can win against a team that is not considered the bottom rung.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI don't get why BYU fans want to play Maryland and Boston College.
There's much more attractive opponents in the ACC that I'd rather see.

Have you been to Chestnut Hill? BC is a great roadie. The campus is beautiful and Boston is a fun city. I had a blast going to that BYU game, despite the result.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI don't get why BYU fans want to play Maryland and Boston College.

Possibly. I'd rather stay in DC and drive over. Fortunately, my Baltimore meetings are now mostly in Bethesda so I don't have to go into the city much.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostYou have never been invited for home made pizza in that city is the reason for that.Fitter. It's always fun to play a BCS opponent we've never faced before.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI don't get why BYU fans want to play Maryland and Boston College.

I'd be ok with that. I'd certainly prefer VaTech, Clemson, or North Carolina over Maryland. I think Maryland would be a crappy get.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostUVA would be perfect. North Carolina was a fun road trip when the Utes played there a few years back. Clemson would be really cool I think.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI'd be ok with that. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

If BYU is in talks with ACC teams I'd prefer the following in order of preference:
UVA
UNC
NC State
Virginia Tech
Duke
Wake Forest
Maryland
Pitt (after they're officially members)
Boston College
Maryland has a crappy crappy stadium and that's not going to change any time soon as their program sucks and has trouble drawing 10k regularly
Duke is a crappy program and their stadium is old, but old in an historic sense, not crappy.
Carolina has a great stadium and game day atmosphere, but if you go, be prepared with some good sun glasses and maybe a hat. The visitor's section faces south and you have the sun in your face all day. One great thing about UNC is that the institute building is really close to the stadium, and makes for a great tailgate area. They usually open it up for parking and accept "donations" for it. When Utah played UNC in 2005 I saw UT fans tailgating. I would consider giving a body part to see BYU play at Kenan Stadium in October.
NC State has a decent venue, even though their parking lot is a cow pasture. Not the greatest game day atmosphere.
UVA and VaTech both have great venues and atmospheres. I'd love to see the BYU score a date with them.
Pitt would be really cool. I've seen their stadium, it has a nice urban setting, but I don't know much about what their traditions are like.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Pitt plays at Heinz field (where the steelers play) and its downtown pittsburgh (they bus the students from campus). A pretty enjoyable place to see a game.Originally posted by pellegrino View PostIf BYU is in talks with ACC teams I'd prefer the following in order of preference:
