I know about the first 3 traditions, is the 4th Wiscy tradition, as well? Or are you just referring to the things that are always said by home student sections?
That's probably the most coordinated cheer I've ever heard. lol

It is a well-known tradition in the Wisconsin student section. They say it to each other. Think of it as a rude, profanity laced version of the "B....Y.....U.....Cougars!" stadium participation cheer. The admin do not like it and wish it would go away, which is probably the absolute worst thing they could say to a bunch of rowdy college undergrads that have been drinking much of the day.
For those who grew up in the Chicago area, Wisconsin was the biggest party school in the area. A fairly large contingent of my graduating class made their way up to Mad-town, and, while I can't speak for all of them, a good number of them did not have "Academic Rigor" as their primary criterion (which is not to say it is not a good school).
Didn't your stake center have a satellite? Blue and White Sports Network, baby.
When did they start those broadcasts? I don't know if anyone gathered at my stake center. If they did, I never heard about it. I was not a huge BYU fan growing up. My parents both went to the U, and weren't that interested in college sports. We went up to the Wisconsin game in 1980 just because a bunch of people from the ward went, and I tagged along with my father (I was too young to really decide to go by myself). We also never had ESPN.

My high school girlfriend became an alcoholic and dropped out after 1 year in Madison (this could happen anywhere I realize just adding my own anecdotal evidence). I found out through a mutual friend that she did manage to get her life back in order and graduate from Univ of Minnesota some 6 years later though.

The local radio guys were gushing today over the fact that there are six different bars inside the Student Union on the Wisconsin campus.

Same. If they did offer them througout the 80s and 90s, no one in Bangor, Maine knew about it.

If any of you want to stick around the weekend of the game with your family, there's a place not far from Madison called Wisconsin Dells that has a boatload of indoor waterparks and is a lot of fun for families. My kids loved it when we lived in the Midwest.

+1. We had a time share at the Dells the few years we lived in Minnesota. Good family fun.
