Did you take in to account that Washington completely ducked BYU that year when they had the chance to play, and then got creamed by BYU at the beginning of the next year? I think this must be taken in to account.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostIt is pretty easy to establish who shouldn't have based on who they actually played and beat that year. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Those individuals that had a say in the rankings and did watch those teams felt as though they didn't deserve to be ranked in the final poll at the end of the season. So yeah, they probably weren't that good.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostBecause you watched those teams and know who was or wasn't good?Last edited by Hot Lunch; 09-24-2014, 08:04 PM."Take it to the Bank"

If those who had a say really felt that way, why didn't they vote down BYU so that such a poor team didn't win?Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostThose individuals that had a say in the rankings and did watch those teams felt as though they didn't deseve to be ranked in the final poll at the end of the season. That is just stupid. Thanks for trying. You want to take into account what happened the following year when in college football, many teams completely turn over.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostDid you take in to account that Washington completely ducked BYU that year when they had the chance to play, and then got creamed by BYU at the beginning of the next year? So you're ok with someone ducking an unbeaten team for money?Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostThat is just stupid. Thanks for trying. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I don't know anything about Washington ducking BYU. I am sure it is similar to those fans that think Utah was scared to play BYU this year. You already proved you have nothing to add when you said that a game that took place the following year should factor into it.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostSo you're ok with someone ducking an unbeaten team for money?"Take it to the Bank"

Well, they ducked BYU to play Oklahoma. They could have played BYU and shut everyone up, but they thought it would be awesome to play Oklahoma instead for a bigger payday, thus ducking an unbeaten team and thinking in their arrogance that if they beat Oklahoma they would be voted above the unbeaten team that they ducked.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostI don't know anything about Washington ducking BYU. "As a second-tier bowl, the Holiday Bowl payout per team in 1984 was $470,000. The Orange Bowl payout was $2 million. The Huskies opted for the money and the prestige of a New Year's Day bowl."
Utah ducking BYU this year has nothing to do with Washington ducking BYU in 1984. While you are both pansies for doing so, the situations are different. It also appears you don't know as much about BYU football as you thought you did. #SJBHLast edited by The_Douger; 09-24-2014, 08:16 PM.Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Or drunk...whatever it is he's not making any sense.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostYou're confused. Go to bed."Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
