I think Pitt was #3 when we beat them in 1984. But we beat them so badly that they never recovered. They finished the season with 3 wins and a tie.

If you had any, you'd feel differently.

You guys like to use irrelevant fluff like number of good non-national championship seasons or decisions NFL teams make in regard to players.
All of it isn't fluff. Come on now. I will admit, you guys do have a couple of trump cards. Especially when it comes to being chosen as National Champions. I still don't understand how a team that didn't have single win vs the teams ranked in the final poll that year can be named National Champion. That is another conversation for another day. Thank goodness we now have the current system in place so that mistake never happens again.

That also could be the reason you won that game.

That isn't something you want to put on your resume.

Don't forget Unga didn't play in that game either.

Kinda hard to go higher than the #1 of Miami 1990, though they didn't end the year ranked.

Apples to oranges. Unga wasn't the returning heisman trophy winner. Oklahoma was also missing Jermaine Greahman a first round pick as well.
