Sorry, doesn't sound believable at all. Not that BYU is not joining, but that the President of the University said such.

Your info usually sounds reasonable. This one sounds far fetched. Sorry, just being honest.

    • I may be up in the night... matter of fact I know I am, but

      I can't help but think...

If I pitched an idea to my superiors at work that was very bold, innovative, and required a high level of risk to my organization; but I sold that idea well, and supported my arguments with relevant data, worked to mitigate the challenges and brought in experts that supported the belief that the organization would benefit from the move. I then explained the specifics to the point that even the skeptical among the administration agreed to take the risk...

Then after gaining their support for my unorthodox, risky venture...

      Said, uh... never mind.

Lets take this other risky venture instead...

Maybe this is why the BoT said Cecil couldn't handle this on his own.

Also, who eats lunch in the afternoon? It's a noontime activity! Even worse was that he was supposed to be in SLC at 3:00. So, no time for a late lunch in Provo.

Awesome. I can't wait until he fulfills his destiny and completes his mission to destroy byu's athletic department. We have been prepping him for decades. The amazing thing is, we planned to have him lower the boom when he was the Church Pres, and he was able to rise above his position and strike from the university pres. position. He is 20+ years ahead of schedule! Way to go, Cec!

            Muah-ah-ah-ah-hahhh!

            • The BYU athletic department has an all-time inflated sense of self. BYU fans better enjoy their 7 years of fat because the upcoming famine is gonna be a bitch.

It is a noontime activity unless you are supposed to meet at red iguana and one person goes to the wrong red iguana, thereby making everyone else wait around and not eat. Then it gets pushed into the afternoon.

I think your info has been pretty good in the past, I just hope it's not good this time. With that said, I could totally see BYU doing something stupid like this.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I had heard your favorite place was Su Casa, maybe that was part of the confusion. They weren't even at the right chain.

What exactly is this in reference to? If this is true, it sounds like Samuelson thinks it's some kind of morality issue in keeping our word. Is this in reference to us promising the Big West we were not going to ditch them too fast?
