Why don't you place a few more ads so that you can donate to Silver Level next year? One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

It has to be a current membership. I forgot to pay in 2008, so I missed out on the lap dance from Dave Rose. Too bad.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostI call bullshit. Let's not get crazy. A Silver Level is $500. Ads don't place themselves. It takes a lot of work.Originally posted by snowcat View PostWhy don't you place a few more ads so that you can donate to Silver Level next year?Just try it once. I love you LA, but this is nothing like the Utes went through. Your fallback would have been a hell of a conference. Utes hadn't been jilted by their conference brother. I am sure there was some anxiety, but this is certainly different.

No argument from me. It wasn't fun for us, and it is worse for you guys. But for us the agony was really only about 2 weeks. I am sorry if you guys have to suffer through the entire summer.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostI love you LA, but this is nothing like the Utes went through. Then again, it's even worse for Commissioner Thompson, who is looking at the top two schools in his league vamoosing for greener pastures - and being replaced with one school that has blue turf.Last edited by LA Ute; 06-26-2010, 12:29 PM.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I'm totally beating the "Ain't Gonna Happen" drum. I would love to be wrong but I don't think I am. Life is better when you have low expectations.Originally posted by All-American View PostPoint.
As of now, it's pretty much impossible to tell the difference between somebody who is trolling brilliantly and really knows stuff. Given the lack of information coming from anybody but "my sources", I'm in full "I'll believe it when I see it" mode.

I absolutely agree. Even from a practical (as opposed to a pessimitic perspective), I'm not convinved that at all that the Bigwhatever will expand at all.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View PostI'm totally beating the "Ain't Gonna Happen" drum. As an aside, I wonder how thy'll rename the conferences.

You guys are just a bunch of wusses. I'm a huge buyer of your negativity. If this place is so negative, I can only imagine what's happening over on coooogerrrboredOriginally posted by OrangeUte View PostIn the words of a friend... I do believe that your source is Cosmo. If an invitation to join the B12 or any other BCS conference is extended to BYU before the end of this year, you and your lady are welcome to redeem my negativity in the form of one steak dinner on me. I don't make it to Texas all that often but I would be glad to send you a gift certificate to the steakhouse of your choice.Originally posted by Viking View PostYou guys are just a bunch of wusses. Do you really think the Big 12 is going to pass on a huge $$ making title game?
In an era of mega conferences??
If you do, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you might like.
Who are they going to invite? Memphis? No. Houston? No.
TCU and BYU

Maybe so, but it depends on what concessions they had to make to Texas/OU to get them to stay. I get that it makes a lot of sense, I'm just not convinced that Beebe is in the driver's seat.Originally posted by Viking View PostDear Wussy Ninny Cooogs:

what concession? Texas, while Mack is not in favor of a champ game, is $$-driven. This is so easy.
