BYU fans should not try to reform the LDS Church. You tout your vaunted fan base, but the fan base is largely a product of what the LDS Church is. Indeed, Utah's enrollment and number of alumni are roughly the same as BYU's. This is like saying if only Trump were different he could beat Hillary. Trump is where he is because he's Trump. BYU is where it is because of the LDS Church, in every respect.
