Because all the people who kept claiming that expansion was off the table now have really reliable and informed people, the same people who told them that expansion was off the table, telling them that it is likely Cincy and UH because while BYU is #1 those same really reliable and informed people are telling them that OU wants Cincy as #2 and Texas' #2 is Houston so it not only is impeccable logic that the Big 12 would leave the most lucrative university for the 2nd and 3rd most options to get along but did I mention they keep hearing it from those super informed and reliable people?

Well it could be that or our fanbase might be the biggest group of gaping pussies together on one setsince the filming of "Flesh Gordon!"

Former Houston coach Dana Dimel thinks Cougars would be bad for Big 12


Kansas State offensive coordinator Dana Dimel doesn’t like the idea of Houston joining the Big 12.


“I think that would be really bad for everybody,” Dimel said Saturday at K-State’s football media day.


Dimel was the head coach at Houston from 2000-02, compiling an overall record of 8-26 over three years. Before that, he was the head coach at Wyoming, where he went 22-13.


Now that he recruits the Houston area as a K-State coordinator, he would prefer the Cougars remain in the American Athletic Conference.


“You can recruit Houston,” Dimel said. “If they get into the Big 12 they will be tough to beat in recruiting, because of the proximity.”


Dimel made his opinion on Houston known after several power brokers across the Big 12 voiced their support for the Cougars.


In a series of Twitter posts last month, Houston gained endorsements from University of Texas president Gregory Fenves, Texas governor Greg Abbott and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
