    A couple more quotes:

Meanwhile, over here in the West, BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall has waved flags and flares like a signalman on an aircraft carrier since June. “Take us, take us.” He’s passionately campaigned the Big 12 and any other Power 5 league for inclusion of the Cougars.
BYU president Kevin J. Worthen, newly appointed this summer, is a passionate BYU sports fan with a unique legal intellect. I bet he is on top of this issue. When asked by KSL’s Dave McCann last summer about independence and if BYU would hold pat through his administration, Worthen replied:

“My guess is there will be at least one other shift somehow in terms of college football, it may be a separate division, it may be realignment, it may be both of those things and I don’t think it’ll be safe to predict that we could, that we’ll be in the same place. But I do like the fact that where we are at right now we have more flexibility than had we not made a change at that point.”
lol @ GM and his "sources".

Not if certain CSers are to be believed.

Did that quote come from Nostradamus or Kevin Worthen, predicting a shift in college football and what not? I hope we're in a P5, but his quote just as easily supports the assertion that we'll be in the AAC or MWC as a result of the grand shift in the CFB world.

      • Frank the Tank likes BYU....but is also confused about BYU

        http://frankthetank.me/2014/12/08/co...i-and-memphis/

Looking at conference realignment in a vacuum, the two most valuable Group of 5 schools are arguably BYU and UConn, so who knows how the Big 12 views either of those schools. I’ll re-state my firm belief that BYU would be a fantastic fit for the Big 12 both on-the-field and financially, but acknowledge that it’s the most unpredictable school that I’ve seen over the past few years of conference realignment both in terms of its own actions and how the rest of the Big 12 perceives the school.
        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You claimed that BYU is not interested in joining a P5 conference. That is crazy talk.

That's an imprecise and incomplete version of what I said. My source has unique access to BYU, the LDS church, and the Big 12. I'll take his word over yours...and the ambiguous Worthen quote.

How is it possible to have unique access to all 3?

You are talking to him? You will have to work hard to keep your cover.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Or what about those places that offer same day MTC service.
