I too think that the UT game in Nov. would make independence much more palatable, and I agree that it is strange not having a conference championship to play for, but I think that given the scenarios that were presented, and the types of schedules that are possible (i.e. road games east of the Mississippi), independence is probably better than being in the crappy MWC for now. I know people complain about having B-ball in the WCC, but I actually like it, and I think after a few more years we'll see some good rivalries develop that will make it more enjoyable.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

https://twitter.com/TuxedoYoda/statu...98282372943872.....and the rumors kick-up again saying there is interest in BYU as a fball only member for the B12. Who would be the 12th fball team?

If I'm going to trust anyone on Twitter it would be Tuxedo Yoda. When had he (or she?) ever been wrong?Originally posted by YOhio View Post"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, because it's not going to happen. But a tidy solution would be for BYU and Cincinnati to join as football onlys. Cincy can then put everything else in with the Big East (the Catholics + UCONN + Butler + Creighton version).
Pros from the Big 12 side of things:
BYU and Cincy don't get a full share of $$$ from the conference
Easy to work around Sunday play now
CCG available for Big 12
Big 12 basketball/Olympics keep a 9 team round robin schedule
West Virginia gets a regional rival (one that doesn't fill their tiny stadium, but still, a partner)Last edited by San Juan Sun; 04-30-2013, 05:37 PM."Sure, I fought. https://twitter.com/TuxedoYoda/statu...34520578011136Big News: B12 just told that the conference championship game with 10 team league will not happen. Gotta think 2 more teams are added soon.

I thought they didn't care about not having a title game. Wasn't their contention that their first place team often loses in the title game? So, for that reason they don't want to have it? I think not having it may have cost Oklahoma State a chance to jump LSU a couple years ago.Originally posted by YOhio View PostWill donate kidney for B12 membership.
