lol yeah and it also ignores that BYU had its two best teams in more than 20 years during 2009 and 2010.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostThis type of reasoning does nothing for me. Perception is reality and the WCC is perceived (rightfully so, IMO) as a cute little crap conference. That's all it is. Couldn't care less about any of the teams in the WCC. At all. If the MWC invited us back for all sports but football, I'd do that in a heartbeat (over the WCC, not over the Big 12)Dyslexics are teople poo...

This is a problem I have with any organization I deal with. It is one thing to say here are the facts and why and we will deal with them.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostNo better alternative. It's really all there is. But I don't like it.
Yes, I really it's the best they can do, but any justifications to make it look better than it is is hard to swallow for me. It's turd polishing, plain and simple.
However, when they treat me like I am low in the ability to think, which I may be, I am offended. I hate to be spun.
Note: I sent a nice e-mail to Greg, because in his position I would also be doing the bidding of my employee. I got back, "thanks for your comments, I appreciate hearing from you".
Do you think this is a form reply? I am wondering if I should keep it with my BYU memorabilia?Last edited by byu71; 04-30-2012, 10:14 AM.

No, but the 10-11 and 9-10 years were also the high water mark for the MWC. They were also the high-water mark for BYU basketball (in recent years). My point was that we've been seeing blowout wins against the bottom of our conference for years. Suddenly because they're coming against WCC schools instead of MWC schools, they're less interesting?Originally posted by byu71 View PostI am sure you didn't forget the 10-11 and 9-10 teams were superior teams to the 11-12 team or did you?
For me they're not. They may be for you.

I am not one to argue that someone should think like I do. Therefor I am not going to try and change what you find interesting.Originally posted by BYUMizzou View PostNo, but the 10-11 and 9-10 years were also the high water mark for the MWC. For me, UNM, SDSU, UNLV and even Wyoming were more compelling games. Gonzaga peaked my interest as much, but none of the others came close. Now with USU in the MWC, the MWC would even be of more interest.
However, this is a what we prefer discussion. The ability to play in the MWC is mute. We can't.

This is a key point.Originally posted by byu71 View PostThe more this becomes about religion and not football, the more the program is going to dwindle in support."Sure, I fought. I've not had less passion for BYU sports in the last decade. In fact, the only time I cared less about BYU sports was when I lived in Maine, without cable, and had no way to follow them.
I put my eggs in the BCS basket, and now that reality has set back in, I realize "above average mid-major/indy" is all we'll ever be.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

I'd rather be in the top 3 of the WCC than the bottom 3 of the PAC.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostThis type of reasoning does nothing for me. On the negative side, how do you some of you guys claim you "dominated" the PCC when you finished 3rd?Last edited by Portland Ute; 04-30-2012, 07:25 PM.

Hoosier Coug from Cougarboard says we should get ready to H8 Oklahoma State!
I'm not sure exactly where he's going with this. Probably that B12 entrance is now merely a formality and the Cowboys are going to be our fiercest Big 12 rival.Last edited by YOhio; 05-01-2012, 03:59 AM.
