Not a certainty. Not even the likelihood yet. But one can start to smell it on the wind.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostBasketball school that has a football team which totally dominates the FCS (1aa). Big Sky here we come!
Must. Pray. Harder.I think, perhaps, the only person who hates BYU fans more than ute fans hate BYU fans, is Bronco Mendenhall.

TV rev key to B12 expansion
http://www.wvmetronews.com/wvu.cfm?f...&storyid=52599
(There is also an interesting embedded video in the article that links to a lengthy radio interview about B12 expansion)At least the league isn’t backpedaling and having to add schools to save its existence,” Kerkhoff said. “Now it adds schools to enhance its existence, if it decides to. My gut is telling me is it has to be the right schools. You don’t add for the sake of adding.”
But who would be those right schools? Kerkhoff tossed around a couple of schools in his blog earlier in the week that would certainly make that splash.
“I threw out Florida State and Clemson only because those names have been popping up since February,” Kerkhoff said. “I had not written that in any story or blog, but I said ‘if we’re going to round up everybody, let’s include those two.’
“Everybody that I’ve talked to in the Big 12 and at schools in the conference office tell me there have been no conversation between those schools and the Big 12,” he continued. “But, that’s not to say back channeling hasn’t happened or various other ways that schools can communicate with conferences.”Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

This can only be good news for BYU. New, long-term, stable deal with the Worldwide Leader creates an incentive for everyone to keep their asses in the ACC.Originally posted by YOhio View PostESPN reportedly signs new TV deal with ACC.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

Wrong. It sounds that the money per team is only $17M. If I understand correctly, the Big XII per team payout (with expansion) would be $22M.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostThis can only be good news for BYU. To me this gives all the more reason for Clemson and FSU to "follow the money".

The assignment of TV rights that the B12 schools signed, if binding, seems to me like it would really prevent a team from leaving. The arrangement seems better (for the conference) than the penalties that everyone seems to get out of with a large discount. If I'm right about that, the B12 is a very stable conference and I'd wonder if the ACC similarly locked up those rights. If so, it may be much more difficult for those teams to leave. Lets hope.Originally posted by OSUCougar View PostWrong. It sounds that the money per team is only $17M. If I understand correctly, the Big XII per team payout (with expansion) would be $22M.

Shoganai is tweeting that the BigEast has renewed interest in BYU. Supposedly Boise, UCF, and Houston are our big proponents, and that the remainder of the BigEast programs are willing to stick around and make sure the conference survives. A basketball scheduling agreement is also possible. Previous difficulties over TV arrangements can potentially be worked out."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive.
