Just beyond bizarre. We balk over entering a BCS league over a not-for-profit channel that has exactly one live broadcast of BYU football to its record.

Stupid.

Being on FSN and FX and not ESPN or ABC every week must be a killer to the BYU administration or something? That's what it seems like in a way.

Well, if BYU's distribution of games in a BCS conference is anything like Utah's distribution in the PAC 12, then I say "yes" to independence.

I have seen EVERY football game on TV this year (I did have to wait a couple of hours to see our PAC 12 game). I'm looking forward to roughly 20 basketball games this year. Compared to last year...

This is a huge deal for me. I know that this doesn't matter at all for a lot of BYU fans in Utah, but there are many of us out of Utah. I've had a football party at my house to watch the games and we have many over each time.

So, if it is between playing OU in Provo or seeing BYU every week, I would choose the latter. I know this is not a popular response on here, but I think there is a large BYU fan base that feels similarly.

This year with Utah is a one year only deal. Next year, they will get game coverage a plenty.

I love watching all the games. I've never been able to do that and have had to tune in to KSL over the internet the last few years. However, I'd gladly give up the ability to see every game in favor of seeing 4-5 good games. I'd rather see quality rather than quantity. We have a lot of quantity this year, but holy fuck, the teams suck. Ole Miss is 1-something, ISU...really? OSU is horrible, Idaho...meh. The combined record of the teams we have beat is something like 4-50, or something...(NB: that's hyperbole). What is the point of watching every game against garbage competition? I'd rather see 4-5 games a year against the likes of the Big 12. I would hope most cougar fans would prefer that as well.

Hogs athletic director seems to hint that the SEC will not be staying at 14 teams...

The addition of Missouri will increase SEC membership to 14 schools, including Texas A&M, which announced last month that it was also leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.

Asked what division Missouri would be in, Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long posted on his Twitter account that Missouri will be in the "East initially."

So who would they add from the east?

I imagine they'll add Clemson and possibly Virginia Tech if they tried to expand to 16. I think your reading into it too much though, I don't think the ACC schools want to leave, and the Big East schools don't seem good enough for the SEC to pick-up.

To be honest I think that's the SEC's endgame. Not just the BCS game but also take the NCAA out of college football altogether.

The NCAA is a joke. The NCAA needs to be more of a governing body than they are just providing rules to follow. Obviously that's not going to happen.

The 2 BCS game idea is the only reason why the SEC should expand.

For the second time this season, ratings for Notre Dame football on NBC fell to a record low.

Last Saturday’s Navy/Notre Dame game earned a mere 1.1 final rating and 1.724 million viewers on NBC, down 15% in ratings and 8% in viewership from the network’s fifth Notre Dame telecast last year (WMU/ND: 1.3, 1.863M), and down 50% and 46%, respectively, from the fifth such telecast in 2009 (BC/ND: 2.2, 3.438M).

The game ties Air Force/Notre Dame earlier this season as the lowest rated Notre Dame football game ever on NBC.

Prior to this season, the lowest rated Notre Dame game on NBC was Duke/Notre Dame in 2007, which earned a 1.2 rating.
