    • Hope the Cougars get an invite to the Big XII if not really not the end of the world. I'm done thinking about it.

        • Heard on the radio this morning that there is some conference call scheduled today between the presidents of the Big 12 conferences.

My guy hasn't told me what's on the agenda yet.

I have some bad news to report speaking of heard on the radio. Hans and OC said they have been digging for information from their sources and BYU is not getting a formal invite.

If Hans and OC report it, it must be true! There are no two other guys in the media I would trust more than these two Morans.

              • TCU's deciding but this little quote seemed surprising

The next two schools on the Big 12's list for possible expansion are Louisville and West Virginia, but not necessarily both. Louisville is closer geographically but West Virginia's football is a stronger pull. There is still no consensus within the Big 12 on whether the league will go to 10 or 12 schools long-term. A number of sources expect a Missouri-SEC decision in some form within a week, which would then allow for the Big 12 to make its next move.

I know that Hans is pretty connected to both programs in this state. You may not like his opinions at times but he has the connections when it comes to this stuff.

I actually think he is when it comes to what may be going on with players and or coaches. I doubt very, very much anyone in the know is going to give any of the media guys any real information concerning this.

                          • Was listening to 1280 on the drive home yesterday, and they were speaking of BYU ..will they get an invite, won't they, etc.

They were all over the topic like they were CB or something. They have NO idea either. Then, it struck me...

"Hey, you two morans are in the media, you claim to be journalists of sorts....why in the #$@! aren't you burning a line over to BYU, knocking on doors, making phone calls, at least TRYING to find out the real story as to what is going on?"

Dorks. All they do is stir up emotion to get callers and listeners. Again, I had to turn them off. I seriously think they monitor CB to get a pulse on what the topic du jour is and go with it without any background study at all.

They SHOULD be doing some calling, talking to people etc. <<sigh>>

The problem with all the local sports talk morans in Utah is that they don't report the story. They try to MAKE the story. It's unlistenable. They're only slightly better here in Nebraska.

These guys are no better than a tabloid. Most of them never played a sport past high school. They're pretty much an ordinary fan that pretends to be a journalist.
